Our School Day
The school day begins at 9.00am, with the school gates opening at 8.45am to ensure a calm, relaxed and welcoming start to the day.
Children are usually greeted at the school gates by Miss Cook (Headteacher) and Mrs Whiston (Assistant Headteacher). They then enter school through their designated entrances, where members of the teaching team will be waiting to welcome them into the classroom. Staff will also be there at the end of the day to ensure children are safely dismissed.
On arrival, children have time to catch up with their friends, share news with adults and settle into the school day before completing their morning tasks.
The school gate usually opens around 3.10pm and the school day finishes at 3.20pm.
The School Day Routine
Throughout the day, children enjoy:
A 15-minute morning break.
A 50-minute lunchtime.
An additional afternoon break for children in Early Years and Key Stage 1.
Working in Partnership with Parents and Carers
We welcome positive communication between home and school. Brief, informal conversations can take place with staff outside the classroom at drop-off and pick-up times.
For any matters that require a longer discussion or involve sensitive or confidential information, we ask parents and carers to arrange an appointment by emailing the school office. This ensures that staff can give you the time and attention needed to discuss any concerns fully and appropriately.
