School Council

School Council at Astbury

Our School Council represents the voice of pupils across Astbury, helping to shape decisions, improve school life and ensure every child feels heard. Members are elected by their peers and work together to share ideas, discuss important issues and lead positive change throughout the school.

This year, the School Council is working towards the My Happy Minds Bronze Accreditation, promoting wellbeing, resilience and a positive mindset across our community. They help introduce new strategies, support classroom activities and encourage pupils to understand how their brains work, build confidence and develop healthy habits.

Alongside this, the School Council leads pupil surveys, supports charity events, and works with staff to make improvements around school. Their leadership helps create a community where children feel valued, empowered and proud of the difference they can make.
