Safety Council
Safety Council at Astbury
Our Safety Council helps ensure that every child at Astbury feels safe, supported and confident in their daily school life. Pupils work together to champion key safety messages across the school, leading initiatives and raising awareness in ways that are engaging, practical and meaningful.
The Safety Council focuses on a range of important themes, including anti‑bullying, online safety, road safety, water safety, and safe, respectful behaviour around school. Pupils help to plan campaigns, create pupil‑friendly resources and share key messages through assemblies, posters and class visits.
By giving children a voice in shaping our safety culture, we empower them to look out for one another, make responsible choices and understand how to stay safe both in and out of school. Their leadership helps build a community where every child feels protected, valued and heard.
